CIEH has published the results of its flagship noise survey, which saw a large increase in noise-related complaints. This year’s report found that noise complaints increased by 54% between 2019/20 and 2020/21, as people adjusted to life during the first Covid-19 lockdown.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations state that companies must clearly define any areas where there is a noise hazard, and clearly notify workers of any potential danger of high noise levels so that they can put on hearing protection.
